The Innobiz DUT Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The innobiz DUT Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is a non-profit entity of the Durban University of Technology, supporting entrepreneurship, innovation and business development, primarily to DUT students.

Serving as an umbrella for DUT’s entrepreneurial initiatives, innobiz provides entrepreneurial education, mentorship and coaching, business support, and access to markets and finance. Through its specialised technology, agriculture, innovation and creative hubs, innobiz develops entrepreneurial skills, incubates SMMEs and helps emerging businesses transform innovative ideas into sustainable enterprises with meaningful economic impact.

The Centre operates under the strategic leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Engagement, ensuring alignment with DUT’s broader institutional goals and the ENVISION2030 strategy.
