2025 National Meeting for Members
The National Meeting for PURCO SA Members' senior procurement and finance executives will be held on 30 September. The Meeting is a national forum for procurement decision makers of PURCO SA Member institutions. It has an information and strategic focus and plays an advisory role on procurement matters to both the PURCO SA office and the Board of Directors. The Meeting is chaired by the PURCO SA CEO.
Sponsored attendee
PURCO SA will sponsor one free attendee per Member institution. The sponsorship includes the National Meeting and the Annual Dinner. It does not include accommodation.
Delegates should book their own accommodation at a hotel of their choice. Click here for hotels that have offered PURCO preferred rates.
Additional attendees
PURCO SA Member institutions may book additional staff to attend the National Meeting. Costs are:

Supplier attendance
Suppliers may only attend the event if they are exhibitors. All staff manning an exhibition stand or attending the event must register.
Changes and penalties:
- Any change to an invoiced booking or a quotation request will incur a R125.00 fee per change.
- You can avoid the admin fee on quotations by requesting cancellation to hello@purcon.co.za, and then booking again.
Payment due before event
- Payment is due within 30 days but no later than 30 days before the event.
- Payment is due immediately for bookings made less than 30 days before the event.
- Bookings are not secure until payment is received.
- Unpaid bookings will automatically be released, but are subject to cancellation penalties if applicable.
Late payments
Payments made later than 30 days after invoice are subject to an automatic 10% late payment penalty, unless a prior arrangement has been made.
Cancellation of exhibition stands and staff bookings
Replacements are allowed at any time. Cancellations of invoices will incur a R125 fee plus the following penalties:
- 60+ days prior to event: 10% cancellation fee
- 31 to 59 days prior to event: 50% cancellation fee
- Up to 30 days prior to event: 100% cancellation fee.
Early Bird rates and Price increases
- The Extra Early offer for exhibition stands expires on 30 November 2024.
- The 2025 Early Bird rates for exhibition stands come into effect on 1 December 2024 and expire on 15 June 2025.
- The 2025 Early Bird rates for attendees are in effect now.
- 2025 rates will be approximately 10% more expensive than 2024.
PURCO SA sponsorships
PURCO SA sponsors attendance for higher education Member Institutions. Sponsorships are not available for non-Members and suppliers.
Sponsored attendance at National Meeting.
PURCO SA will sponsor one person to attend the National Meeting on the Tuesday immediately preceding the Conference. The sponsorship includes:
- Attendance at the National Meeting on Tuesday 30 September 2025
- Attendance at the Annual Dinner on Tuesday night (30 September 2025)
Sponsored attendance at the Conference.
PURCO SA will sponsor one person to attend the full 3-day Conference on a buy-one-get-one basis (so at least one other person from the Institution is required to attend and pay for the full event).
The sponsorship includes:
- Attendance on all three days of the conference and exhibition (Wednesday to Friday 1-3 October 2025)
- Attendance at the Casual and Gala Dinner Functions (Wednesday and Thursday)
How Member Institutions can take advantage of the sponsorship
Register your staff as normal using the Online Registration Form.
- Use a discount code to claim the sponsorship (see below).
- You can use each discount code only once.
- You can use the National Meeting and the Conference codes for one person, or use them for separate attendees.

Full details and discount codes have been emailed to the Primary Contact and Head of Procurement recorded on the PURCO SA database for each Member Institution.
Travel and accommodation
To keep costs down and to give Members the freedom to maximise your travel contracts, travel and accommodation is not included.
