Zara is the Chief Data & Analytics Officer at FNB for Credit Scoring. Her responsibilities include: data feature development, model development, system ownership for the credit scoring engine and credit bureau reporting. This responsibility spans across Retail, Commercial & Broader Africa segments. Credit scoring is utilised by all lending product houses for assessment of credit risk and utilised in the determination of whether an application will be approved or declined.
Zara has an Bsc Hons in Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand. She joined FNB as a graduate and has worked in various roles related to credit risk management since joining. Her passion lies in utilising data, analytics and modelling to find new solutions to challenges which have the capability to transform the current business environment by making use of age-old solutions combined with innovative new technologies.
