Bruce Banda is the Director of Student Academic Administration at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and sits on the Board of Trustees of their Medical Aid Scheme. He is also Vice Chair of the Financial Services Consumer Education Foundation, established by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) to promote and fund financial education programmes that increase awareness of the importance of financial literacy; provide the public with the required information, tools and knowledge to make smarter financial decisions; and lead to an increase in consumers’ knowledge and confidence about their rights and obligations.

Bruce will be hosting a breakaway session on the second day of the PURCON Conference where he will share insights into the PURQ Platform, and its benefits as a centralised host of academic data and facility for transcript exchange.
