Delivering Strong Governance and Audit Compliance

This case study examines how Sedibeng TVET College successfully delivered around 20 special infrastructure projects while maintaining full compliance with the requirements of the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA).

The session will highlight how compliance was ensured under the Public Audit Act, PFMA, DHET SCM Guidelines, and National Treasury Regulations. It will also showcase key governance practices such as preventing irregular expenditure, managing special project funds (CIEG), and ensuring service providers were paid within 30 days.

Together, these measures illustrate how rigorous governance and strict adherence to audit standards can safeguard infrastructure investments and strengthen institutional credibility. With all tenders subject to annual audits, this session demonstrates how PURCO SA has supported its Members in achieving a spotless track record with no adverse findings.
