Drobotics

Drobotics Systems, based in Mayfair, Johannesburg, is an advanced Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) engineering and aerospace technology company specialising in custom drone integration, payload design, remote sensing, and automated data-acquisition solutions.

Our expertise has been developed through collaboration with leading academic and research institutions, including the University of Johannesburg and Stellenbosch University, with support from the Water Research Commission. We translate research and innovation into practical, field-ready UAS technologies for environmental, agricultural, and industrial applications.

Our capabilities include custom payload mechanisms, precision winches and hoists, specialised water-quality sampling systems, hyperspectral imaging, machine-learning applications, and the deployment and maintenance of multirotor platforms such as DJI Phantom and Matrice systems.

Drobotics Systems is also pursuing Approved Training Organisation (ATO) status under the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) framework, with the aim of providing professional drone training for students, researchers, and industry operators.

At PURCON 2026, we look forward to building partnerships with universities, TVET colleges, and research institutions to advance environmental monitoring, research capabilities, UAS applications, and next-generation aerospace skills development.
